$40,000 Guitar Signed By JIMMY PAGE, BRIAN MAY Vanishes

According to Dailymail.co.uk, a Fender Stratocaster guitar boasting the signatures of Eric Clapton, Brian May, Jimmy Page and Bill Wyman, among others, has vanished. The guitar disappeared last month while in the care of Parcelforce en route from DIRE STRAITS mainman Mark Knopfler's London office to music promoter Dave Allen's home in Market Harborough, Leicestershire, England.

The guitar was due to fetch around £20,000 ($41,000) at auction for a children's charity.

Yesterday Allen said he was "gutted" at the news as he contemplated starting the year-long fundraising project again from scratch.
